Top Ten Books That Were Hard For Me To Read

9:58 AM

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
We were told that we could interpret this topic in any way that we wanted to, so I decided that my interpretation was going to be books that had difficult subject matters or that were quite difficult to read in the sense of description of horrible happenings in the book. To be honest, there aren't many books that I find difficult to read, but I feel like these are difficult topic's and that is why I chose these. Therefore, here is my top ten books that I found difficult to read.

Link me your Top Ten Tuesday if you've done one and let me know if you have read any of these and whether you found them difficult to read or not!

  1. Great selection! I loved Jacqueline Wilson's books when I was younger! ^_^ Whenever she had a new release I always made sure I picked it up. Of Mice and Men is a brilliant classic, but it's definitely not one to read if you want to be cheered up. :( I still need to read Red Dragon; I read The Silence of the Lambs last year I think (possibly the year before) and I really enjoyed it, plus I love the films and I love the Hannibal TV show. The books can be difficult to stomach sometimes, though!

    1. I was the same with Jacqueline Wilson! I actually did a post recently where I bought a load of them because I really missed reading them! <3 Yeah Of Mice and Men is so sad! I read it in high school and someone wrote what the end was in the front of the book, grrr! I have only read Red Dragon! I've yet to read the rest, so i'm glad to know that you liked Silence of the lambs! I love the films and TV show as well :D

    1. It was! But it was so well written such a great book. And oh really! Well I think if I had finished it, then it would probably be on this list because the topic is definitely a difficult one!
