Top Ten Book/Movies To Read Or Watch To Get In The Halloween Spirit

4:41 PM

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Today's Top Ten Tuesday was a choice between two, one which was character orientated and then this one! I decided to go with this one because I haven't read very many scary books so I thought it would be good to get you in the mood for Halloween with both a mixture of book and film recommendations! (I'll be honest it's mostly film)

What do you watch/read to get you in the mood for Halloween? What are you going as on Halloween?

  1. I used to LOVE Halloweentown as a kid. I even had it on VHS taped I think. Wow.

  2. In Australia, we don't celebrate Halloween. Just a few kids who knock hoping for lollies, most not even dressing up. But I love horror books, not so much movies though. That image of Freddy Krueger has already put the fear of god into me, and I'm not even religious. Bloody hell. I've seen the movies, but was so traumatised that I blocked them out. Apart from the fact that he invades your dreams. Anna Dressed in Blood has been my favourite horror read. It's scary, but won't keep you awake at night. Wouldn't bother with the follow up though, bit craptacular actually.

Thanks for sharing Becks and scaring me shitless :D :D <3

    1. It's not that big of a thing over here in the UK either! Though that may just be because me and my parents turn off all the lights and pretend no one is home :P
I've wanted Anna Dressed in blood for a very long time! I used to do most of my reading at night so was put off but now I tend to read on my commute to university so I don't mind reading a little bit of horror, perhaps this might be my next purchase!

Hey everyone needs a good scare once in a while ;)
